Do you do tourist activities when you are a tourist? I feel like all I see lately is about “getting off the beaten path” and “finding the great hidden spot” and “avoid that tourist spot”. While I am for getting off the typical tourist path, I feel like it’s been taken too far occasionally! You are a tourist when you travel and seeing these spots can be all they are held up as! Yes tourist sites will be crowded. However they are often tourist sites for a reason. A few off the top of my head that still blew me away where: -Prague Castle -Machu Picchu -Angkor Wat -Berlin Wall -Long Room at trinity college in Dublin -Ha Long Bay Vietnam And sometimes doing “touristy” activites can be sooo fun. Yes they are touristy but dang can they give you a good memory! I have shot a crossbow in the Prague Castle, pub crawled in Dublin, took a picture with alpacas in Peru, cooking class in Chiang mai and many more are all such fun memories even if they are “touristy”. You of course will have those tourist spots that will let you down but I feel like we need to be ok with other travelers only going to the “tourists” spots if that is what they want to do!
