Here’s a glimpse of a unique Ikebana exhibition held in an underground space in Kyoto! I stumbled upon this by chance, and the contrast between the delicate flower arrangements and the dim, enclosed setting made it one of the most striking exhibitions I’ve ever seen. Many of the works in this exhibition seemed to be created with a sense of freedom rather than being strictly bound by classical traditions. I felt a strong desire to embody the beauty of Japan beyond just tradition. And, It seems that this underground space will no longer be accessible.
