when I left England at the end of 2023 I had no plans aside from spending a month in Portugal... 🛫 My UK Visa was expiring, I didn’t want to renew it, I couldn’t afford to renew it but I definitely didn’t want to go home. I considered a visa in Germany or The Netherlands but nothing really called me to either of those places and I felt SO uncertain with where the next few months would take me. But I trusted that I would work it out 🇵🇹 I would never have expected to build an entire life for myself in Portugal. What was meant to be 6 weeks turned into 6 months… and then 12 and now it’s pushing into 2 years?? I’ve had moments where everything felt like it was falling apart - so many moments where I just had to trust that I was “exactly where I’m meant to be” and I’ve never felt so certain about that than I do right now. 📆 The last 20 months in Portugal have completely changed the trajectory of my life and I can’t imagine things happening any other way . . . . . #moveabroad #traveller #aussieabroad #liveabroad #nomad #portugal #lifeabroad #exploreportugal
