Traveling to San Francisco? If Fisherman’s Wharf isn’t your jam (hey, it’s not for everyone), then save this post for some of the best things to do, according to your friend who lives here (me!) 😉: 🌲 Explore Golden Gate Park: It’s the biggest urban park in the U.S. Don’t miss the Japanese Tea Garden, Blue Heron Lake, Conservatory of Flowers, or herd of buffalo (yep!). The de Young art museum is also here. 🥪 Get lunch at the Ferry Building: Yes, it’s touristy but it’s a good place to try a variety of locally loved foods, like Humphry Slocombe (ice cream), Fort Point (beer), and Hog Island Oyster (seafood). On Saturdays, there’s an enormous and wonderful farmer’s market, too. 🚲 Attend a festival: Like the Lunar New Years celebrations in Chinatown or the Bring Your Own Big Wheel Race each April. 🎵 Watch a concert in Stern Grove: Every Sunday in the summer, @sterngrovefestival hosts free concerts. This year, Tegan and Sara, Herbie Hancock, and the SF Symphony are among the line-up. 🧺 Picnic in Dolores Park: On sunny days, this park turns into a party. 🎪 See a circus performance: The show Dear San Francisco at @clubfugazisf is an amazing spectacle that embodies the spirit of the city. 🍸 Grab a rooftop cocktail: We don’t have a ton of rooftop bars, but the newly revived rooftop bar at the @beacongrand (Starlite Lounge) is my new favorite. The space has actually been around since the 1930s, and used to be a popular spot for dancing. It’s a nice alternative to Top of the Mark. What do you think of this little San Francisco travel guide? Which of these things to do will you be adding to your San Francisco itinerary? #travelsanfrancisco #sanfrancisco #visitcalifornia #sanfranciscotravel
