Here’s your mini guide to all 3 locations! ⬇️ Share this with your hiking bestie 📩 Located near Wānaka, Roy's Peak is a bucket-list hike offering sweeping views over crystal-clear waters that make it seem like the edge of the Earth! ⛰️ Pouākai Tarns, Taranaki National Park: check the weather conditions religiously. If you want the perfect reflection view of the mountain, you need to pay close attention to wind speed and cloud cover. 🏞️ Lake Tasman, Aoraki Mt. Cook National Park: visit in the shoulder season (e.g. NOT Nov-Mar) for a better chance at catching icebergs at the edge of the like. Sunrise is the best time for this one, as the glow illuminates Aoraki and paints the sky above the glacier lake in pink hues. 🥾 Roy's Peak, Wānaka: make sure to do this one early/late in the day to catch the sunrise or sunset. Be sure to pack a headlamp or flashlight, and be prepared for a gruelling 3 hour hike with no reprieve from climbing uphill!
