San Francisco’s spirit cocktail?🍸 The martini. Though hotly debated, it was supposedly invented here, brought in by a traveling bartender in the 1800s 😎 These days, there are no shortage of amazing bars and restaurants to get a well-shaken, crispy cold martini. Which is why @ommmar + @onlyinsf teamed up to create a martini trail, listing the absolute places to find one. Some of my personals faves: @holbrookhousesf - their clarified tomato martini is one of my faves in the city. @martunis_sf - they make a mean one at this OG piano bar. @leparcbistrobar - great for trying the Martinez, the cocktail the martini supposedly evolved from. @truelaurelsf - good any time, but especially lovely on a warm day thanks to their outdoor seating. @wildhawk_sf - a worthy replacement for one of the city’s last lesbian bars (Lexington Club), Wildhawk serves great freezer martinis. @starlitesf - the rooftop bar on the top of hotel, Beacon Grand, is vibey, lively, and serves a great drink. Want the full list? Comment MARTINI for the link. Got a fave that’s not on the list? Would love to hear from you (because, let’s be honest… there’s only so many martinis a gal can try on her own 😝) #sanfrancisco #sanfranciscofood #sanfranciscofoodie #martini
