Jeju can be truly foggy. As I write this I’m looking out my window at a view of white, no visible clues of the citrus orchards that surround us. It’s amazing how thick that white blanket of fog can seem. While I’m not sure if I can truly capture the fog surroundings of Pyoseon, I can capture the foggy feelings of Haehwatang. This cafe in the northwestern side of Jeju is really something. Take a seat, and if your timing is like ours, you’ll begin to sip and suddenly notice the vapor spilling out over the bath. Before you know it, the room is filled and you’ll think you accidentally visited a sauna instead of a cafe. Just when you start to wonder when the fog will lift, the fans above turn on and woosh, it’s gone. And you’re back to the calming sounds of the bowls clinking in the bath as they whirl around. 📍 Haehwatang (@haehwatang) Address: 5855 Iljuseo-ro, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do For more cafes in Jeju check out #jejucafechronicles and follow more adventures with @thesoulofseoulblog #해화탕 #제주가볼만한곳 #제주카페 #제주 #jejucafe #jeju #jejuisland
