1. This is a sacred place.. A statue or monument that means a lot to Koreans for various reasons. So don’t enter the area behind the white papers (at some places that is less obvious than in this video) and try not to be too loud. ⚪️🙌🏼 2. You can actually leave a personal wish! Sometimes on paper like here or just in your thoughts. Usually those sacred places are said to be the home of spirits protecting areas and bringing good to the people around it. This tree and the 삼신 할머니 [Samshin Halmeoni] - The three Grandma Goddesses - are in the center of the Traditional Korean Folk Village in Andong and stand for childbirth and fate in Korean Mythology. But you can find those places separated by white cloth or paper quite often when visiting old villages or monuments in South Korea 🇰🇷❤️ Now you know what to keep in mind then^^ #southkorea #andong #samshinhalmoni #korea #korean #mythology #travel
