Spring is the most underrated time to travel to California: agree or disagree? . I’ve lived here for 11 years now and yes, summer is the most popular and yes, late summer / early fall is often touted as the best time of year to visit, but I think spring is a uniquely magical time of year here. . So much of our landscape is dry and brown for half the year, but right around now it turns a beautiful green. Wildflowers everywhere. Not too windy. I love it. .
