
Demanding uphill journey to Castle Peak or Pui to Shan is a 583-metre high peak in western New Territories. It is also the highest granitic hill in Hong Kong. Our hike continues to Castle Peak Hinterland down to Por Lo Shan and it’s a demanding downhill. Rocky path, steep incline and slippery. Make sure to wear shoes with good grip if you wish to continue hiking down to Castle Peak Hinterland. Otherwise you go backtrail. Our route: 1. The starting point for the Castle Peak Hike is Hing Choi Street in Tuen Mun exit B turn right. 2. Walk straight until Hing Choi Street, get onto the same side as St. Peter’s Church. 3. At St. Peter’s Church, walk till the end of Hing Choi Street, and then turn left onto Yeung Tsing Road 4. Cross the road, and onto the path next to the gate. This is the start of the Tsing Shan Monastery Path. 5. Continue walking till you reach the Heung Hoi Ming Shar Memorial Archway. 6.
