Dazzling, colourful foliage draws hikers to Hong Kong’s Lau Shui Heung Reservoir. The reservoir is colloquially called ‘mirror of the sky’ for its deep, reflective waters. At different times of year, the changing leaves and blossoms of the forest create an ever-evolving diorama of water, nature and sky. NOTE: The best time to visit the Lau Shui Heung Reservoir is during the rainy season when it looks wonderfully lush, or in the winter months when the cypress trees change colour. (December-January) OUR ROUTE: 🚞 Fanling East Rail Station and take exit C to the minibus station. 🚌Take minibus 52B that goes to Hok Tau. Let the driver know that you’re getting off at the roundabout of Pat Sin Leng Country Park, where you can start the walk to Lau Shui Heung Reservoir. 🚶♀️🚶It only takes around 20 minutes to reach the reservoir. #autumnfoliage #laushuiheung #cypresstree
