1️⃣ Finding Trash Cans 🗑️ As it’s common to bring your garbage home here to then recycle it properly, it feels like an impossible mission in Korea to simply throw away trash xD That’s why I usually have a small garbage bag in my backpack or I look for a subway station to throw away stuff. 🙌🏼 Also: the city of Seoul just announced that they install more and new garbage cans in the city! Hopefully that will help! 😄 2️⃣ Getting helpful translations 🗣️ In touristy areas you can find quite a lot of English menus or English speaking staff.. but other than that it can get tricky. 🙈 Papago’s Camera Function is gooooooold for tourists! You can also call the tourist hotline 1330 or the bbb interpretation service for FREE! 3️⃣ Navigating through the city 🚇 Even though I always say that Seoul’s subway system is one of the best and no comparison to most other cities of comparable size in my opinion, it’s of course a huge city and complicated - especially for people not used to it! 😓 Knowing how to read and type Hangeul helped me a looooot in the beginning. And using a mix of Google, Naver or Kakao Maps and reading through my Subway Guide on thatch can help you too! ❤️ Comment “GUIDE” for my FREE South Korea Travel Guide including Tips for Hotels, Transportation, Airport Arrival, Sightseeing, Shopping and much more 💌 And PLEASE share your tips and thoughts too for others! #korea #seoul #travel
