Have you heard of a budget range? Setting a budget for travel can be daunting! I know when I first started I wanted to set a specific number that I would not go over but when I did I was so upset about not budgeting correctly. Now what I do when creating a travel budget is set a range. The lower end will be what the goal is to spend and the upper end is what I am ok with spending if necessary. By doing this you are building in room in your budget for extras you might not have known about or thought about when crafting the lower end of your budget and gives you wiggle room to enjoy life! An example is when we budgeted for Southeast Asia. I wanted the goal to spend $2,300 a person for 3 weeks BUT i was ok going up to $2,600 a person. By building inn $300 extra dollars it gave us room spur of the moment activities!
