Petra by night is a whole different vibe from the day! On select evenings (Mon, Wed, Thurs), the Siq is lit with hundreds of candles, guiding you through the narrow gorge under the stars. As you reach the Treasury, you’re greeted by rows of candles and a peaceful Bedouin performance using traditional instruments. The monument lights up in soft colours, creating an otherworldly backdrop. Entry is 17 JD (you’ll need a valid day ticket too). I personally found it a little rushed and overpriced but there’s something magical about being in Petra at night time, under the night stars. So Is it a must-do or do you agree it’s a bit overhyped?
