More than a decade ago I saw my first @choijeonghwa_official installation and ever since have been drawn to his meticulously stacked works. Wander through a maze of household items become installation and I’m sure you’ll be mesmerized too. Onna Onna, Moda Moda is a collaborative artwork completed by Choi, alongside 17 local artists and also the citizens of Busan, and consisting of 48 towering structures. True to its title, “Moda Moda” (Gathering Gathering), the artwork aims to explore the personal histories and meanings rooted within each object by meticulously bringing together and stacking one by one the household items once used by people, expressing values of coexistence and symbiosis in a manner both commemorative and profound. 🤪 can you figure out why I stopped short of walking through the front and made an about turn? 📍 @moca_busan 🎨 @choijeonghwa_official #부산현대미술관 #최정화 #busanmuseumofcontemporaryart #choijeonghwa #busan #passportbyforbes #mydomainetravels #wowplacestogo #fodorsonthego
