It’s almost been three years since I moved from Australia and my journey has been anything but smooth sailing ⛵️ But if I’m honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Moving abroad solo at 22 was the best thing I ever did for myself. 💭 Not only did it open up a world of opportunity for me but it taught me a lot more than I would have ever learnt if I stayed in my comfort zone. When you move to a completely new place, without knowing anyone you’re forced to do things alone, and this is where growth happens 🌱 Navigating moving alone is hard, and bad days are normal, you just learn how to deal with them a little bit better. 📝A lot of people don’t take the first step towards an uncomfortable thing, because they think they need step 8, 9 and 10 planned too. You don’t need to have everything figured out, just focus on the very next step. 🏡 I moved to England first, and I struggled way more than I anticipated, I felt like I failed at building a new life for myself but when I moved to Portugal everything made so much sense. Trust redirection. 📖 You are the writer of your own story. When you look back in 40 years will you be proud of the life you lived? If not, now is the time to make changes. Don’t live in fear.
