This is the most common lie ever told 😂 Grab your FREE waterfall map with all these juicy details + more at the link in my bio! Waterfall Wednesdays: Wellington Edition 🏞️ Today’s feature is Dry Creek Waterfall in Belmont Regional Park, be prepared to get your feet wet! Your guide to visiting Dry Creek Waterfall: 🥾 Trail: Begin your adventure at the Dry Creek carpark just off of SH2 near Stokes Valley! From the carpark, it’s a 20-30 minute walk to a gorgeous waterfall. The catch: there are (at least) 24 stream crossings! 🅿️ Access/Parking: Plenty of parking is available at the entrance. 📏 Difficulty: This trail is relatively flat so suits all fitness levels, the stream crossings are all easy (ankle deep) so as long as you’re okay getting your feet wet then you’ll be fine. It’s a great place to practice stream/river crossings for the first time, especially with kids! 🤫 Secret: Extend your visit by exploring the nearby loop track for a longer walk, with more scenic spots along the way. You can also camp near the carpark. 👧👦 Family-friendly: Yes - a great place for the whole family to learn essential outdoor skills. 🦮 Dog-Friendly: Dogs are welcome on a leash, so they can get their feet wet too. 🕶️ Shade: Enjoy a cool, shaded walk under the canopy of native trees, perfect for a sunny day. 🚽 Facilities: Toilets are available in the carpark. 🗑️ Leave no trace: Help keep this hidden treasure clean by taking all your rubbish with you and respecting the natural surroundings. 🙏 Follow @naturewithliam for more hidden gems, trail guides, and tips for exploring the great outdoors! #connecttonature #waterfallwednesdays #nzplacestovisit #thingstodoinwellington #bestwalksinNZ #wellingtonNZ
