Is this more or less than you would expect to pay in New Zealand? (All prices are in USD!) This is how much we spent for 2 weeks in New Zealand! This was by far one of our more expensive trips we have taken but I feel like this might give you a good idea of what to expect when traveling there and set realistic expectations . A few things: -We used Omega car rental which is a local rental company that doesn’t charge for one way drop off and allows you to take it on the ferry. - We mostly ate breakfast and lunch form groceries we picked up which helped keep our costs low. Oatmeal and crackers and cheese goes a long way! -lodging was way more than we expected but every place we stayed was nice -activities definitely caught up with us but were so worth it. Our two most expensive were our dolphin encounter and our Milford sound cruise. -we found our RT tickets on a stellar deal which is why we booked our flights in the first place!!
