White temple also known as Wat Rong Khun, is one of my favourite temples in Thailand! I visited the famous temple at the end of the day as I heard that there’s less people! Truth to be told there was still a lot of people, so I don’t know if that’s truth... To enter the temple, you walk over the Bridge of the Cycle of Rebirth. Here, there are skulls and hands reaching out from the ground, symbolising hell and human greed. As you cross the bridge and leave these human traits behind, you get closer to eternal peace and happiness, represented by the temple! The colour white simbolizes the purity of Buddha 🤍 The central theme of this Buddhist site revolves around breaking free from greed and desires, guiding individuals towards enlightenment by embracing the teachings of the Buddha. ✨ This temple is also very new, it was built 1997. Despite not being and active temple or an old temple, I believe is 100% worth a visit. The details of the building, the colour and the meaning make it an amazing site to visit! Share this with someone that you would take here! And save this post for later! #whitetemple #chiangrai #whitetemplechiangrai #visitchiangrai #visitthailand #watrongkhun #bseainsider
