📍Koyasan. Wakayama, Japan. Danjogaran, Kongobuji temple. 2024.10.31 I need my monthly (?) dose of temples. Something about taking a day off and put on your earphones and walking around the temple just calms me and makes me feel like myself again. The paintings on the fusuma (sliding doors) in Kongobuji temple were too good. Koyasan is famous for its autumn leaves and they usually peak around late October- early November. But this year they’re slower than usual so most of the leaves were still green.
