The interior of the restaurant, which was previously a Gion Ryokan, is an extraordinary space where you can feel the atmosphere of Kyoto. I really liked the little garden with pebbles and water flowing. There are also fully private rooms where you can relax without worrying about outside noises. We were lucky enough to get a private room with a nice garden view! Everything we ordered: •鰻巻き Eel Omelette •地焼きひつまぶし “Hitsumabushi” Grilled Eel Rice Bowl with Seasonings •鰻うに重 Grilled Eel and Sea Urchin Rice Bowl I don’t personally enjoy seafood that much but the grilled eel was full of smoky flavours it was absolutely delicious! My friend was IN LOVE with the grilled eel and sea urchin rice bowl. 🤤 We could see how the food is prepared and cooked using a grill. My friend and I enjoyed the traditional yet relaxing place- it was perfect for having a meal while chatting. The food was amazing and the price was reasonable considering the ingredients and the location.
