Do you create a budget when you travel? I always get asked how I can afford to travel and I want to be completely transparent and show everyone how it is possible! I am a mid-range traveler so I am not a budget backpacker nor do I travel in luxury. The main difference is that I am willing to spend more@on activities and accommodations than a budget backpacker but unlike a luxury traveler..luxury isnt my goal. The biggest expense will always be flights and accommodations. I allow flight prices to tell me where I am going instead of the other way around. I found roundtrip tickets from the west coast of the UsA to Prague for $500. Normally those tickets are between $800-$1000. By finding that deal right off the bat I was able to save money that went towards other things on the trip. Since I was traveling with a friend we spilt the cost of a hotel room right in city center that had free breakfast. Having free breakfast is great as a mid range traveler because it is one less meal you have to budget for. Our free breakfasts was amazing! Prague has much more food, drinks and activities than other European cities so we were really able to save on those items. Overall, we could have spent less and we could have spent more (kinda the point of mid-range traveling). I highly recommend Prague for anyone who wants to explore a city!
