Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a curious wanderer, these hidden gems offer a unique blend of tranquility and thrill, nestled away from the usual crowds. 🔠: Secret Waterfall Track 🔴, 🟡 or 🟢? 🟡🟡🟡 This is a relatively easy trail. HOWEVER - and this is a BIG however - you absolutely MUST pay attention to the tides! This location is completely cut off at high tide. Make sure to time your visit within 1 hour either side of low tide. Be sure to look for tide tables near Killybegs - and remember, safety first! You will also have to walk alongside the narrow road for the first 5 minutes, so be prepared for that and always try to walk against oncoming traffic. 📍: Largy Viewpoint, County Donegal, Ireland 📈: Easy-Moderate. As I said, this is a relatively easy walk. But take your time - the rocks are EXTREMELY slippery as they are wet/coated with algae. Also, some minor climbing up and down the rock pools is required. 🅿️: The start point is the free carpark at Largy Viewpoint. This is a SMALL carpark! Under no circumstances should you park alongside the narrow road if this carpark is full. ↔️: Head back along the road towards the marked "Secret Waterfall" pin on your maps app. Here, you will find a gate which takes you on a road through private land. At the time of visiting, the landowner was allowing people to cross the trail - please check the signs on the gate. From here, head down to the beach, and follow the coast back towards Largy Viewpoint until you find a cave! ⏰: 40 minutes return. Allow an extra 20 minutes if you plan on doing some photography or videography. 🧗: Gradual 50m down and up. 🐶🧒👧: Yes!
