Visiting Korea during the fall foliage and wonder what’s worth seeing? Here’s @chrisbg suggestion on how to spend 10 days so you can cover the most beautiful autumn spots in Korea: Day 1-3 Seoul - you have to cover the basics and during the peak of the fall foliage you must visit: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Secret Garden, Deoksugung Palace, Namsan Tower, Jogyesa Temple, Haneul Park. Day 4: Day trip outside of Seoul - Garden of Morning Calm & Nami Island. Cross the river to Nami with the zip line :) Day 5: Gangwondo - visit the stunning Seoraksan Mountain and use the lift to go up if you don’t feel hiking. Then spend the rest of the day in Yangyang and visit Naksansa Temple. Day 6: Naejangsan Mountain - one of the most spectacular spots to enjoy the bright orange and red colors of the maple trees. Go early with KTX, take a taxi or public transport to the park. Getting back can take time so have this in mind if you are going to catch KTX on the way back to Seoul. If you have time you can try to get to Barkyangsa Temple but having in mind the traffic during the season it might be challenging. Day 7-8 Busan - explore Heundae and Gwangalli beach, visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, enjoy the amazing sea food Day 9 - 10 Gyeongju - the capital of the old Silla kingdom is super beautiful during the autumn foliage. Don’t miss the Waljeinggyo bridge, the Royal tombs and Bulguksa Temple. Stroll along the Bomunho lake where there are so many foliage spots.
