I spent 2 days in Petra and these are no doubt the 3 things you can’t do when visiting: \n\n1. Starting too late in the day. \nWhy? The heat becomes intense by midday, and it gets crowded. Go at opening time (around 6am) for shade, photos, and peace.\n\n2: Wearing the wrong shoes. 🫠\nPetra is HUGE. Expect 15k–20k steps. Uneven terrain, stairs, dust. Wear proper trainers or hiking shoes — not sandals or flip-flops and definitely not heels!\n\n3. Skipping the Monastery.\nMany people stop at the Treasury and turn back. Big mistake! The Monastery is even more jaw-dropping — yes, it’s 850 steps, but fewer crowds and epic views. Don’t miss it!\n\nSave this post for your trip to Jordan and follow for more travel tips and guides!\n\n#jordan #petra #visitpetra #petratreasury #traveljordan #jordan #middleast #treasury #monastery \n\nVisit Petra | What to know before visiting Petra | Petra guide | travel Jordan
