There are some airports that I really don’t want to spend any time in at all if I can help it. Get in and get out. Incheon International Airport isn’t one of them. Even if you’re just waiting for someone to arrive, you can still check out a number of areas or just sit and relax because there’s often plenty of quiet room if you know where to look. What not to miss: - Home Within Home by Do Ho Suh featured in this video. I usually like to take a seat in the transportation center if I have a longer wait. I can enjoy this stunning piece of art, but it also tends to be quieter as people are getting to and from the arrivals/departures area. You can also see films and dramas filmed here from time to time. I was even in one once. - In Terminal 2’s public area though, you can also see Hello by Hee Ra Kang as well as visit the bakeries with plenty of seating and plants growing over the edges creating a jungle in an otherwise metal and glass space. Go up an escalator, and you can find the Incheon Airport Observatory Deck and experience center. If you’ve got kids, definitely go check it out if you’re waiting. There are some great restaurants up the escalator as well. - In Terminal 1’s public area, you can visit Korean Cultural Street on the 4th floor which features a number of contemporary artistic pieces.
