This is Tung Ping Chau. A remote island located closer to the mainland China border than Hong Kong. Tung Ping Chau’s coastline is among Hong Kong’s most beautiful, making it a burgeoning eco-tourism destination. It is Hong Kong’s very own “Jumanji Island”. Once home to 1,500 people across ten villages, nature is now firmly in charge. It is famed for its colourful sunrises, unique geology and crystal clear water too. HOW TO GET THERE: 1. Sha Tin MTR Station and take Minibus 27 going to Ma Liu Shui Ferry pier. University MTR station Exit B then walk towards ferry pier. 2. Take a Ferry from Ma Liu Shui Ferry Pier to Tung Ping Chau.
