At the Manhole Cafe in Seoul, you’re immediately surrounded by a blend of a library and jazz club. Dark wood, tufted leather, and spindle-back chairs create a cozy, vintage feel, reminiscent of a British mancave with a jazz twist. Its industrial-themed, library-like interior stands out. Exposed ductwork meets walls lined with English fake books, while a Cheers-like bar welcomes you. The library desk at the cafe’s end offers a serene spot for coffee and contemplation, ideal for writers and book lovers. It’s where I enjoyed a rich brew, lost in the unique atmosphere of the Manhole Cafe.
