Thank you for an amazing inaugural season @valkyries !! 💜🪽 🏀 ✨🗡️ To be honest, although I knew I was going to support the team as soon as it was announced, I didn’t expect to fall in love with it THIS MUCH 🥹 But it was so easy to fall in love with a team of 6th women who play with so much passion and grit and joy, coached by an amazing coach who brought out the best in her players. Plus, everything about the franchise was built with so much thought and deliberation and it really shows. And I think the best part of it all was how the community immediately and wholeheartedly embraced the team. The atmosphere inside Ballhalla is electric. I see Valkyries gear all around the city. The fanbase is as passionate and diverse as the Bay Area itself. Even though their playoff run was short-lived, they already exceeded expectations in a season that made history in so many ways, and things can only go up from here. From the preseason to the final buzzer, it’s been such an incredible experience to have been a part of history.
