Shop concepts in Korea are THE most amazing. I read an article about experiential pop-ups beginning to trend abroad and to be honest, I thought about how late the U.S. market is to this marketing game when it comes to creating an experience from top to bottom, left and right, and make it not only funky, but quirky, cool, and extremely Instagrammable. On top of that, this week I had a bunch of college students in from the U.S. and they were blown away by how much free stuff they could get in Korea. I explained how they were the marketing tools these brands were after. They’ll give you all of the lipstick, eye shadows, and blushes, you just have to post a pic and use some tags, etc. Easy. What’s their goal? To get you to spread the word for them. And it works every time. Heck yeah I’ll share a pic of a giant cat lounging around for cosmetics. And so here we are at @3ce_official in Myeongdong posting pics and grabbing blushes. If you’re traveling through Seoul, always keep your eyes peeled for the signs outside shops welcoming you in with the promise of a free gift.
