What’s there to do in Whitehorse, Yukon in the dead of winter? ❄️ Well, actually as it turns out, a lot! 🇨🇦 Before you ask, yes, we had hoped to see the northern lights, but we didn’t get lucky enough to see them during the 4 nights we were there 🥲 But we still had a lot of fun! 🐕 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗱 There are a lot of different outfitters for this must-try activity! We booked with @braveheart.adventures and had a blast. We even got to play with puppies and enjoy some freshly grilled sausages and s’mores around the fire! 💭 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 & 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺𝘀 We had a fun and educational afternoon at @macbride_museum where we learned about the history of Whitehorse and the Yukon. I’d also recommend @kwanlindunculturalcentre (unfortunately they were closed for the holidays for us) 👩‍🎨 𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 We did a 1-hour workshop at @lumelstudios where we each got to create 2 small pieces with the help of their amazing instructors. It was so fun to make these beautiful and unique keepsakes! ♨️ 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Enjoy a relaxing spa day at @eclipsehotsprings ! They have 3 different hot pools, as well as 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, and a relaxation room! 🍻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲 Warm up from the inside with a beer flight from one of the several breweries in Whitehorse! We visited @woodcuttersblanket and @yukonbeer and loved our experience at both 🦌 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗶 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 @yukonwildlifepreserve has a nice 5km/3.1 mile-loop trail that you can walk and see animals like caribou, mountain goats, musk oxen, mule deer, and more. You can even rent a kicksled or fat tire bike if you don’t feel like walking! 🖼️ 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 There are lots of beautiful murals that you’ll come across just walking around town.
