What’s better than learning something new? Doing it with a friend and a very supportive teacher. (Thank you @hannah_intl for joining me and letting me dance to your rhythm. ^^) What’s the instrument? The gayageum. The gayageum is Korea’s most iconic traditional instrument. It’s a type of zither, usually with 12 silk or nylon strings, although modern versions can have up to 25 strings. The gayageum dates back to the 6th century! Why you should take this class when you visit Korea: The Gayageum is a very unique instrument, not only historical, but you can see it in traditional performances still today. Spending a couple hours plucking and playing and celebrating Korean heritage is one of the most unique experiences you can have here. So few tourists know about the instrument to begin with, that this is truly something few others will be able to say they did. 📍 Beautiful Gayageum (@beautiful_gayageum ) Address: 3rd floor, 43 Bukchon-ro 5ga-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul Make a reservation: Choose the day and time and reserve a class on @creatrip.global Follow @thesoulofseoulblog for more unique experiences in Korea. #beautifulgayageum #gayageum #가야금 #뷰티풀가야금 #북촌한옥마을 #bukchonhanokvillage #learnsomethingnew
