I love visiting the National Museum of Korea. It’s free and there are so many things to see, you could visit every day for a week and still have more. * * One of the highlights inside is this beautiful ten story pagoda. Most Korean stone pagodas were made from granite, but this massive ten-story pagoda is the first one known to be made from marble. The base and the main body are elaborately decorated with carvings of Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and floral designs, and there is an inscription engraved on the body of the first story, stating that the pagoda was built in 1348. * * * 📍 @nationalmuseumofkorea * * * * * * * * * #nationalmuseumofkorea #국립중앙박물관 #imagineyourkorea #iseoulu #ig_korea #visitseoul #seoul_korea #TLAsia #seoulsnap #koreabyme #seoulmania #discoversouthkorea #seemycity #iamatraveler #visitkorea #koreatrip #mydearkorea
