Trust redirection. I moved from Australia to the UK in 2022 and it wasn’t at all what I had hoped, so I tried to spend as much of my time travelling as I could. In the summer of 2023 I had my sights set on doing a work exchange in Barcelona, I had to have applied for AT LEAST 5, and I wasn’t approved for a. single. one. So I decided to try my luck with Portugal and within a few days I was approved for a 6 week long work exchange in a hostel that my boyfriend was working at (not that I liked him at the time… but that’s another story) Rejection is redirection, and if I hadn’t met him I’d honestly probably be back home in Australia right now. Everything that’s happened to me throughout my travels has ultimately led me here and for that I am eternally grateful.
