As mid range travelers we try to not overspend on activities but here are 5 that were worth every penny while traveling: Cooking class in Chiang Mai Thailand: my husband went in with a little apprehension to this class. But we ended up having the best most amazing time they picked you up from your hotel. We stopped at a local market and we cooked so much food we had some to take back with us. We had the best time with our cooking group. Hanoi Vietnam Street food tour: we booked this last minute as we were coming back from Ha Long Bay. It ended up being some of the most fun we had had in Vietnam. We ate at five different spots and learn so much about Hanoi and the city. Day Hike Up Acatenango in Guatemala: well, this was the most grueling difficult hike I have ever done. It was worth every single second we had the most amazing time, watching Mount Fuego, erupt and enjoying the beautiful views after five hour hike up a mountain. Horseback Riding In Peru: our hotel in the sacred Valley booked us this trail ride. And we had a guy who spoke no English, and it still was an amazing experience. It was definitely once in a lifetime to experience the Andes on the back of a horse. Off the Beaten Path Pub Crawl in Dublin: we weren’t sure how we were gonna like this pub crawl, but we absolutely loved it. It got us out of the tourist district in Temple bar area and into where the locals hang out. Our guide was amazing and we had the best live music.
