When it’s raining in Korea and you and your umbrella are dripping wet, be sure to look around before you enter buildings. You will generally see one of these three things set somewhere near the door so you don’t bring all of the after inside: 1 Umbrella bags. Take your umbrella and put it in the top through the opening. The bag, a medium size and large size depending on your umbrella will completely cover the wet umbrella. Take it off when you’re leaving again and want to use the umbrella. 2 More eco-friendly, these umbrella wiping stations look like mops got turned sideways and attached to big rectangles. Just wipe your umbrella back and forth inside. These are often in subway stations. 3 The newest answer to what to do with a wet umbrella is the umbrella blow dryer. Not yet everywhere, I’ve only seen this option outside of the Lotte Department Store. Maybe they’ll be everywhere next rainy season. Which one have you seen/used the most?
