The clarity of the water was unreal, and the short walk through mossy forest was sooo peaceful. 📅 Late spring through summer (Oct–Mar) has the best weather, but it's beautiful year-round. Go early in the day to beat the crowds. 🚗 It's a 1-hour drive from Wānaka along SH6. There's a signposted carpark right off the highway, with toilets available. 🥾 Just 1.5km return on a well-maintained gravel track through beech forest. Totally beginner-friendly and family-friendly too! 🌧️ Yes, the pools really are that blue—even on cloudy days. Bring insect repellent, especially in summer—the sandflies here are relentless.
