Nestled in the heart of South Korea, Gakwonsa Temple is embraced by those in search of tranquility and spiritual renewal. During the visit, the double layer cherry blossoms were in full bloom, casting a mesmerizing backdrop against the temple’s striking features. Founded in 1977 to pray for national peace and prosperity, the temple houses a majestic 15-meter-high bronze Buddha, which overlooks the city from the slopes of Mt. Taejosan. The main prayer hall is one of the highest wooden structures in Korea.
