This might be my new favorite SF restaurant for a celebratory dinner out with friends—especially if you want a fancy but still approachable meal. The restaurant is 7 Adams (@7adamsrestaurant) in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. Their 5-course tasting menu costs $87 (plus optional add-on, such as the caviar or lobster entree) which, yes, is a splurge, but one of the better values among SF’s upscale dining scene. Not just that: the food, atmosphere, and vibe is approachable too. . Favorite dishes among the table: the braised lamb ravioli and torched hiramasa (kind of like a crudo). . Not on the menu, but chef David Fisher—who is from Buffalo, New York—will sometimes break out his take on a boneless buffalo wing for guests 😜 Overall, I really enjoyed the mix of familiar/unfamiliar flavors, playfulness of the dishes, and will be back! .
