Rainbow Mountain in Peru ππ»π΅πͺ Read til the end for my no. 1 tip for visiting here!! I only ever see people post the actual peak itself, so I was surprised by how scenic the whole hike and the surrounding mountain ranges were! π And the flocks of sheep and local shepherds added to the charm as well π BUT the altitude was no joke! This was the highest point we visited in Peru, and the last stretch of the hike to the top almost killed me π΅ You can pay for a horse or motorcycle for the first part, but last part is steep can only be accessed on foot. So be prepared if you plan to visit! Ok now for my number 1 tip for Rainbow Mountain: book a tour with a late morning departure!! Most of the tours leave Cusco at like 4am which I do not recommend because 1) nobody wants to be up that early, and 2) youβll be there with the crowds and itβll be hard to enjoy it and get good photos π Our tour left at 8am and by the time we got there, most people are already gone and as you can see it was easy to get empty shots. We booked with @peruprivatetours which I highly recommend! β¨Send this to someone you want to come here with and follow @wendan.vs.world for more travel tips! . . . #wendanvsworld #wendanvsperu #visitperu #perutravel #rainbowmountain #rainbowmountainperu #travelblogger #travelreels
