Kent Road frames Taranaki Maunga perfectly and it just hits different. 📸 Go early morning or late evening for soft light and fewer cars. Autumn and winter often give you a dramatic snow-capped peak. 🚗 Kent Road runs perpendicular to the mountain. There’s multiple safe places to pull over on the side of the road—DO NOT stop in the middle or on a blind bend. ⚠️ This is an active road with fast-moving traffic. Park fully off the road, use hazard lights, and stay alert at all times when photographing (ideally, use a spotter). Bring a telephoto lens if you want that epic compression!
