I feel like people see 20-30 something’s traveling and they wonder how they are doing it and more than once someone has told me “I bet you have so much debt since we travel so often” which is false. We don’t go into debt to travel. We make 100k combined or 50k each for reference. This is how we do it and yes I recognize that we are very very lucky and blessed with several of these things and I don’t take it for granted at all! -we have no kids and don’t plan to for a while -we work a traditional 9-5 so we have a very stable income. -we stay at mid-range hotels that don’t break the bank. -presents for all holidays, birthdays and anniversaries are trips. -we prioritize saving for travel when we are at home (we don’t eat out, go to concerts, buy material items, we bike to work to save money in gas etc) -we buy the cheapest plane tickets possible 90% of the time or wait for a flight deal -we travel to countries were the USD is very strong. -we have very little debt (yes we are very lucky and recognize that)
