Just look how the sun catches on my najeonchilgi box. Najeonchilgi is a 2,000 year old mother-of-pearl inlay handicraft that was enjoyed by Korean aristocrats centuries ago. This is one of my favorite things to suggest to people looking for a souvenir from Korea. They are intricate, beautiful, and there is a lot of history behind them. This box was designed by master craftswoman Lee Yong Oak (Jinjoo Shell). We got it through Mystic Korea which is on a mission to introduce Korean culture and traditional craftsmanship overseas in hopes of finding a new distribution channel for local craftsmen to preserve their generational craftsmanship. It’s so beautiful, don’t you think? * * * @mystickorea_official use the code “HALLIE” for 10% off if you want one of your own. * * * * * * * #나전칠기 #najeonchilgi #traditionalkorea #koreansouvenir #imagineyourkorea #iseoulu #ig_korea #visitseoul #seoul_korea #seoulsnap #koreabyme #seoulmania #discoversouthkorea #visitkorea #koreatrip #mydearkorea #외국인 #koreatravel #travelkorea
