Do you save money by traveling outside of the USA? As mid-range travelers who live in the states, we prefer to go international for our trips. People ask us why all the time and the answer is simple. 90% of the time it is cheaper to fly into another country and experience a new culture than it is to travel in the states. We live in a non hub city so flights are usually expensive to fly domestically. From were we live it can cost $750 to fly to the New York, DC or Atlanta. Hotels, airbnbs etc are just a lot more expensive compared to other countries. When we do travel in the states we often are camping, finding extreme hotel deals or sharing places with friends and family. Eating out is much more expensive here in the states. With tipping culture. The price has skyrocketed recently. Attractions here are often over priced and parking a where means paying. Unless you are in New York or San Francisco or DC, you have to rent a car or take a ton of taxis/ubers. Most places in the states aren’t walkable. #Wanderlust #Adventure #Explore #Destination#Travelgram #Travelogue #Wanderer #Journey #Discover #Expedition #Itinerary #Backpacking #Globetrotter #Scenic #OffTheBeatenPath #Culture #Landmarks #Vacation #budgettravel #Staycation #southeastasia #AdventureSeeker #midrange Do you find it more costly to travel in the United States?
