Planning to visit Petra? Here’s what you really need to know before you go: 🪨 Petra isn’t just one monument, it’s a whole ancient city with hikes, hidden spots, and ruins that go on forever. Most people only see a tiny part. 🚶♀️ From the entrance, you’ll walk a long path (approximately 30 min) through a narrow canyon before the famous Treasury suddenly appears like a movie scene. But don’t stop there: climb the 850+ steps to the Monastery (yes, your legs will scream, but the view is WORTH it). 💡Quick Tips You’ll Be Glad You Knew: • Get there early. Like, painfully early. It’s cooler, quieter, and way more magical. • Wear comfy shoes — this is not the place for cute sandals. • Bring cash. • Don’t ride animals — hike it. • Respect the site. Don’t touch or lean on the ruins. • If you can, go for 2 days. It’s massive and you will be exhausted in one day only. There’s restaurants, toilets and shops in Petra site. Save this for later, your future self (and feet) will thank you. Pro tip: I bought the Jordan pass, it was worth it as visa was inc as well as a few other sites! #jordan #petra #visitpetra #petratreasury #traveljordan #jordan #middleast #treasury #monastery Visit Petra | What to know before visiting Petra | Petra guide | travel Jordan
