Navagio Beach, also known as Shipwreck Beach, is one of the most iconic beaches in Greece. But in recent years, safety concerns have led to multiple closures. 😳🏝️ What happened? 1️⃣ LANDSLIDES & ROCKFALLS •In 2018, a massive landslide injured several tourists. •In 2022, another rockfall followed after an earthquake. •In 2023 and 2024, experts deemed the area too dangerous for visitors. 2️⃣ CURRENT SITUATION (2025) •The Greek authorities have officially closed the beach. •No entry allowed: Tourists can’t step on the beach or swim in the bay. •Boats can only approach up to a certain distance but can’t dock. 3️⃣ WILL NAVAGIO BEACH BE CLOSED FOREVER? •There’s no official confirmation of a permanent closure. •Authorities are evaluating safety measures, but there are no plans to reopen it yet. ⚠️ To make things worse, the famous shipwreck “Panagiotis” is slowly falling apart due to storms and erosion. Experts warn it might disappear completely in the coming years. ⏳ Will you visit before it’s too late? Let me know in the comments! 👇 #navagiobeach #shipwreckbeach #zakynthos #trip #greece
