And today, I’d love to introduce you to one of Kyoto’s truly exceptional chocolatiers. The chef here has won numerous awards and creates chocolates that are not only stunning to look at, but also incredibly delicious. You’ll find unique Japanese flavors like sake and roasted soybean flour (kinako), capturing the essence of Kyoto and Japan. There’s also a café space inside the shop. I had an eclair on this visit, and it was absolutely delightful. It’s filled with berry sauce, which adds just the right amount of tartness to balance the richness of the chocolate. If you’re a chocolate enthusiast, this place is a must-visit! Oh, and don’t forget to pick up their monaka-style chocolates as a souvenir — they’re fantastic! 🗺️Address 166-16 Ebisu-cho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto 605-0033, Japan 🚃Access By train • 4-minute walk from Exit 1 of Higashiyama Station • 8-minute walk from Exit 2 of Keage Station 🕙Opening hours Open: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM Last order for café: 5:30 PM Closed: Every Monday and Tuesday, plus occasional irregular holidays
