Decor is inspired by the city itself, with prints of local attractions, such as the Ferry Building, and tiny sourdough illustrations hidden in the wallpaper. It also plays homage to its storied past, maintaining many of the original architectural features (rumor has it, a bullet is still lodged in a chandelier in the lobby from one particularly raucous guest in the 1920s) and plans to reopen its famed rooftop restaurant and bar (once a popular spot to go out dancing). Rooms were comfortable and spacious, though, like all the hotels in this area, can be noisy.
