The Bamboo Forest in Arashiyama is on every travel to-do list for Kyoto. Unfortunately, the place is hugely overrated as there’s no way to avoid crowds no matter how early or what season of the year you go. Trust me, I’ve been at the spot as early as 6:30 AM, and there were people already taking photos. Instead of getting squeezed by thousands of people in the Bamboo forest, go to Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple. You can walk for 30 minutes on a very scenic road from the bamboo forest up to the temple or take the public bus 94 from Arashiyama Tenryuji-mae Station. Another option is a taxi from the train station that will cost you less than 10$ 🏠 Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple 📍17番地 Sagatoriimoto Adashinocho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, 616-8436, Japan #japan #kyoto #arashiyama #arashiyamabambooforest #adashinonenbutsuji_temple Kyoto Arashiyama bamboo forest • visit Arashiyama Kyoto • bamboo path walk Kyoto • Kyoto travel destinations • must-visit spots in Kyoto • Arashiyama travel tips • exploring Kyoto Japan • Arashiyama scenic views • Kyoto bamboo grove
