I often wonder what life would look like if I had stayed in Ohio after I graduated from university. It’s crazy how one seemingly small choice, a contract to teach English in Seoul for ONE year, can change the entire trajectory of your life. If I hadn’t moved to Seoul, I wouldn’t have met my husband or had our daughter. I wouldn’t have started one of the most popular Korean tourism websites, found a career in writing and marketing… Sometimes I think that if I’d stayed in Ohio it would have been easier. I wouldn’t always feel like my heart is in pieces with bits here and bits back home, but I also know that this wild adventure has been worth it, every bit of it. When you look back, what moment was the turning point for the rest of your life? Can you put a finger on it?
